Uganda has made great progress against HIV, tuberculosis and malaria, with a reduction in both new HIV infections and AIDS-related deaths. It has also made great progress against TB, moving out of the list of 30 high burden TB countries. However, malaria remains a major public health problem, accounting for 30-50 percent of the outpatient cases and 9-14 percent of inpatient deaths in Uganda. The maternal mortality rate is 505/100,000 . Only 40 percent of births are attended by a trained health professional. The infant mortality rate is 89/1,000 live births while the under-five mortality rate is 131/100,000 livebirths. Immunization rates have also been declining with only 29 percent of children fully immunized by 12 months as recommended.
Our strategic intervention is to support the government health systems our emphasis put on preventive measures rather that curative.
We focus on health living training in school, martial and new born support, care for women with pregnancy, community health education, dental care , environmental health, HIV/AIDS mitigation, nutrition support , malaria prevention, immunization, water and sanitation.
